# Loan Lifecycle

Once a loan is created on Peach, it begins a lifecycle that typically lasts months or years — accruing interest, posting payments, generating statements, and transitioning through statuses. The most common lifecycle path is: `pending` → `originated` → `active` → `paidOff`.
